(ORAL) The petitioner through the instant petition is seeking direction to official respondents to take appropriate action in respect to General Daily Diary report dated 3.1.2023, registered at Police Station, Guruharshai, District Ferozepur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that on the complaint of petitioner General Daily Diary report dated 3.1.2023 has been registered, however, respondents in spite of representations are not looking into the matter. There are allegations of rape, thus, police is duty bound to take an appropriate action. Notice of motion.

Mr. Amish Sharma, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent -State.

CRM-M-10960 of 2023 -2authorities would certainly look into representation of the petitioner and do the needful. The representation is dated 21.1.2023 and authorities are examining veracity of the representation. In view of statement of learned State counsel, this Court is sanguine of the fact that authorities keeping in mind nature of allegations would expedite the matter and preferably within two months do the needful in accordance with law.
