IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH
CRM-M-15663-2016 Date of decision: 20.09.2018 Deepak ..... Petitioner
Versus
The State of Haryana and others ..... Respondents
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN PRESENT: None for the petitioner.
Mr. Arjun Singh Yadav, AAG, Haryana.
RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Despite the case having been called twice, none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. Perusal of the file shows that on the previous date also, none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner.
However, while placing on record photocopy of letter No. 8632 dated 19.09.2018, received from the Superintendent, District Jail, Bhiwani, learned State counsel submits that the instant petition has rendered infructuous, as the sentence of the petitioner is already over. In view of the above, the instant petition is dismissed on following two counts:- (i) as having rendered infructuous; and (ii) for want of prosecution as well.
