Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents for considering the case of petitioner and promote him as Superintendent Home / Child Development & Project Officer with effect from the date when he became entitled. Reply by way of additional affidavit dated 04.08.2022 of Sh. Gurjinder Singh Maur, Joint Director (ICDS), Deptt. of Social Security and Women & Child Development, Punjab, on behalf of both respondents/State, has been filed. Same is taken on record and copy thereof supplied to the opposite side. Registry will tag the reply at appropriate place. In view of the averments made in paras-3 & 4 of the aforesaid reply/affidavit, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioner, submits that his claim is satisfied, therefore, he does not want to pursue the present petition any further.

Disposed off accordingly.
