Through the instant petition, the petitioners seek issuance of directions upon the respondents No.2 and 3 to decide their representation dated 20.02.2020, and, to ensure protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of respondents No.4 to 16.

At the very outset, the learned State counsel, on instructions imparted to her by A.S.I. Satnam Singh, has informed this Court that, during the course of inquiry, the inquiry officer concerned has recorded the statement of petitioner No.1, wherein, she has stated that, since the demise of her husband has occurred, therefore, she does not perceive any threat at the hands of the persons, who are arrayed as private respondents in the instant writ petition.

In view of the above, the instant petition becomes infructuous. Therefore, the instant petition is dismissed, as having been rendered infructuous.
