(ORAL): This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a direction to respondent no.2/Commission to re-check the Subject Knowledge Test (for short 'the Test') Exam Result of the petitioner, and consider her for interview/ viva-voce for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT-History) in response to advertisement no.28 of 2023.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner attempted thirteen out of fifteen questions, and in her assessment all were rightly answered. Still, as per the result declared, she has not cleared the Test. Therefore, her paper should be re-checked. 3.
Learned counsel for the Commission, appearing on advance notice, contends that there is no such provision to re-check the answersheet of a candidate for the Test, nor was it mentioned in the advertisement.

In the absence of any rule, regulation or stipulation in the advertisement, which provides for re-checking of the Test answer-sheet, the prayer made in the petition cannot be granted. The petitioner's own assessment of her performance in the Test, cannot be a ground to seek a writ of mandamus for re-checking the result.

In view thereof, there is no ground to entertain the petition. 6.
