It is stated that in another writ petition bearing CWP No.22330 of 2018 titled as "Rehri Fari Market Association Vs. State of Haryana and others", decided on 21.02.2025, the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court has noted the submissions of the counsel for the Municipal Corporation, Ambala that as soon as the Bye-Elections for the Mayor are concluded, necessary steps shall be taken within three months for constitution of Town Vending Committee in terms of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 (for short 'the Act, 2014'). Taking note of such a submission, the Co-ordinate Bench YAG DUTT 2025.05.05 17:41 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP No.6293 of 2021 -2disposed of the said writ petition expecting the respondents to constitute the District Grievance Redressal Committee as well as Town Vending Committee within a time frame, i.e three months from the date of completion of the Bye-Elections.

Learned counsel for respondents No.2, 3 and 5 states that the Bye-Elections are over in March, 2025. She also states that the vendors, as existing on today, shall not be disturbed till the Vending Committee and District Grievance Redressal Committee are formed whose report shall be taken into consideration for the purpose of allotment of vending zones and sites.

We, therefore, expect the concerned Mayor and the other authorities of Municipal Corporation to take positive steps as required under the Act, 2014 and form the Town Vending Committee as well as the District Grievance Redressal Committee. Vending zones and sites shall also be ear-marked for the purpose as provided under the Act, 2014 and the report shall be submitted to this Court by way of Compliance Report after three months. The case shall be placed before this Court only for the purpose of compliance in the Month of July, 2025. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
