By this petition, the petitioner seeks extension of the emergency parole granted to him earlier on the ground that his father was suffering from cancer.

Vide the order passed on 29.04.2021, the period of parole was extended for one month more, and therefore the petitioner was to surrender before the jail authorities on 28/29.05.2021. The learned State counsel confirms that the petitioner has actually surrendered on that date.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this petition may therefore be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. Ordered accordingly.
