NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the notification dated 18.11.1998 (Annexure P-4) vide which respondent No.1 has amended Punjab Municipal (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 1978. Further a writ of certiorari has been sought for quashing the orders dated 11.11.1998 (Annexures P-5 and P-5/A) and dated 11.01.1999 (Annexure P-6) whereby respondents No.3 to 9 have been appointed as Assistant Commissioners/Regional Directors/Deputy Directors in the Municipal Corporations and Local Government Department of Punjab. Learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
