SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioner No.1, who is legally wedded wife of respondent No.4 is living with petitioner No.2 of her own volition as respondent No.4 was maltreating her and wanted to sell her. Now, both the petitioners apprehend danger to their lives and liberty at the hands of respondent No.4. Without expression any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Nuh, District Mewat to examine the complaint (Annexure P-3) made by petitioner No.1 to Chief Minister, Haryana after associating the petitioners in the inquiry and take appropriate action in accordance with law to secure the lives and liberty of the petitioners in case any threat is found. However, it is made clear that nothing contained in this order will be interpreted as giving direction to the police to protect the petitioners from any civil or criminal proceedings pending or instituted against them.
