SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Additional affidavits of petitioners produced by learned counsel for petitioners is taken on record.
Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners have filed this petition seeking protection of their life and liberty alleging that they are major and have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 and 5, who are father and brother of petitioner No. 1. Apprehending danger to their life and liberty, petitioner no. 1 moved representation dated 27.04.2017 (Annexure P-5) to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana. In view of the submission of learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Commissioner of Police, Ludhaina to look into the representation dated 27.04.2017 (Annexure P-5) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office.
However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
