Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482, Cr.P.C., is for the issuance of direction to respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to protect lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 to 6. The petitioners contend that they being major, have solemnized their marriage in accordance with law. They further submit that respondent Nos. 4 to 6 are not accepting their marriage and adamant to separate them from each other by resorting to illegal means. They further submit that in view of the imminent danger to their lives and liberty petitioner No.1 had already moved a representation (Annexure P-4) before the Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana. 2.
