 Petitioner has filed instant petition under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.20 dated 14.12.2022 under Sections 498-A, 406, 506, 294, 295-A and 34 IPC registered at Police Station Women, Jagraon, Ludhiana Rural, District Ludhiana Rural (Annexure P-1).

As per brief facts, FIR was registered against the present petitioner along with others on the written complaint filed by complainant Baljeet Kaur levelling allegation regarding maltreatment on account of demand of dowry as well as narrating incidents which took place in the matrimonial home.

 Present petitioner was granted interim bail by the Coordinate Bench vide order dated 17.04.2023 which has continued till date. Today, learned counsel representing petitioner states that the matter has been compromised with the complainant and this fact is confirmed by learned counsel representing complainant. Therefore, he has no objection if the interim bail already granted in favour of the petitioner is confirmed.

Learned counsel representing State has not opposed the anticipatory bail on account of compromise arrived at between the parties. Considering the aforesaid facts, no purpose would be served by sending petitioner behind the bars. He is still ready to join and cooperate with the Investigating Agency. Therefore, interim bail already granted vide order dated 17.04.2023 stands confirmed subject to the conditions detailed under Section 438 (2) of Cr.P.C. Petition is, accordingly, allowed.
