On 19.02.2026, this Court had passed the following order:- "The instant petition und (438 of Cr.P.C.), has been file to the petitioner in case b 19.04.2025, registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 der Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 ed for grant of anticipatory bail bearing DDR No.033 dated Sections 109, 191(3), 190 of 3, and Section 25 and 27 of
Arms Act, 1959, at Police Station Zira alias Sadar Zira, District Ferozepur in a cross case i.e. FIR No.0042 dated 19.04.2025, registered under Sections 109, 191(3), 190 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and section 25 and 27 of Arms Act 1959, at Police Station Zira alias Sadar Zira, District Ferozepur.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that it is a version and cross version case and the matter is between family members. Now a compromise has been effected as they have resolved their dispute. Co-accused, namely, Jagdeep Singh, has already been granted relief of interim bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 12.02.2026 passed in CRM-M-8464-2026 and the complainant party has also been granted bail in the case. Notice of motion.
Mr. Surinderjit Singh Nahar, AAG, Punjab, accepted notice on behalf of respondent-State and submitted that it is heinous crime committed by the petitoner, however, it is not disputed that co-accused in the FIR case, who also gave gun shot injury, has been granted concession of interim bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court.
Mr. Karandeep S. Sidhu, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of the complainant and has filed Memorandum of Appearance, which is taken on record. He has admitted the factum of compromise.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, it is a case of version and cross-version, and accused in the FIR is also granted concession of anticipatory bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court, and the fact that a compromise has been effected between the parties, the petitioner is directed to join investigation as and when required by the Investigating Officer. In the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on interim bail on furnishing personal bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer till the next date of hearing subject to the conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of the BNSS (erstwhile Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.). Adjourned to 18.03.2026.

Learned counsel submits that in pursuance of the aforementioned order, the petitioner has not only joined investigation but also fully cooperated with the investigating agency. He further submits that in case the investigating agency requires the petitioner to appear, he shall make himself available without demur.

Learned State counsel on instructions from the Investigating Officer, affirms the factum of joining the investigation by the petitioner and cooperating with the investigating agency. She also submits that at this stage, the petitioner is not required for further custodial interrogation. 5.
In view of the above and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, anticipatory bail petition filed by the petitioner is allowed and the order dated 19.02.2026 granting interim bail to him, is hereby made absolute, subject to compliance of conditions as specified under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023.

However, it is made clear that if the petitioner fails to join and cooperate with the investigating agency as and when required, the State would be at liberty to move an application for cancellation of the present anticipatory bail granted to him.
