RITU BAHRI, J.(Oral) Petitioners are seeking quashing of action of the respondents for not considering their claim under OSP General Category for the post of Driver Transport Departments of the State of Haryana against advertisement dated 18.05.2017 (P-1).

The petitioners applied under General category for the post of Driver and the final result was declared on 03.06.2019. The last candidate under General category secured 128 marks. The petitioners are now seeking that their claim be considered under OSP General category as 11 posts are lying vacant under this category.

At the very outset, the present petition is liable to be dismissed on the short ground that once the petitioners had applied under general category and therefore, now they cannot turn around and seek direction to the respondents to give them appointment under OSP General Category merely on the ground that the posts are lying vacant. No merits.

Dismissed.
