M.M.S. BEDI, J. (ORAL) This is a petition for quashing of FIR No.69 dated 4.4.2013, under Sections 295-A IPC, registered at Police Station, Division No.3, Jalandhar, on the basis of compromise. Said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent No.2 Vijay Hans alleging that the petitioners had published "Gyan Kalash" describing Balmiki Ji in such a manner that it had hurt the religious sentiments of Balmiki community. The parties have entered into a compromise and they have made statements in this context before the Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jalandhar on 15.5.2015.

A report has been received to the effect that the parties have compromised the matter, voluntarily. Following the judgment in case Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab, 2007(3) RCR (Crl.), 1052, this

CRM-M-15116-2015 (O&M) petition is allowed. The above said FIR and all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed on the basis of compromise.
