(ORAL) Present writ petition has been filed for directing respondent No.1 to revive the appeal along with stay application (Annexure P-4) filed by the petitioner against the order dated 24.11.2022 (Annexure P-3) whereby the petitioner has been suspended from the post of Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, village Budhiana, Block Jalandhar East, Jalandhar in an illegal and arbitrary manner and decide the same as early as possible within some time bound period, in view of notification dated 04.09.2023 (Annexure P-6) issued by the Government of Punjab. Further prayer has been made for staying the operation of impugned order dated 24.11.2022 (Annexure P-3) during the pendency of present petition/till the decision of appeal.

CWP No.4818 of 2024 -2- 2024:PHHC:028769 On asking of the Court, Mr. Navneet Singh, Sr. DAG, Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of the official respondentsState. He has submitted that the notification dissolving the Panchayats in the State of Punjab has been issued and as such the present petition has been rendered infructuous.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has not controverted the above submissions.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as infructuous.
