(Oral) Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, District Patiala to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 20.11.2022 (Annexure P-3) (although addressed to Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Patiala Range, Patiala) examined qua the limited extent as regards alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case, it is found that there is any genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps as warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest.
It is further directed that the investigation in respect of FIR No.20, dated 5.11.2020 registered at Police Station Vigilance Bureau, Patiala, PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.03.03 14:40 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
