This is a petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 415 dated 22.08.2017 under sections 420, 467, 468, 471 & 120-B IPC at Police Station Civil Lines district Amritsar. Petitioner is incarcerated since 11.12.2017. Case is triable by Magistrate. As trial may still take some time to conclude, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner any longer. Keeping in view the contentions made before this court and the period of incarceration, this court feels that petitioner deserves to be enlarged on bail. Accordingly, petition is allowed and petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate Amritsar and/or any other condition(s) as it may deem fit to impose.
