(ORAL) This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing respondents No. 2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondents No. 7 to 10. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners want to marry each other but the family members of petitioner No. 2 are against their relationship and want to perform her marriage with some other boy. She further submits that both the petitioners have been living together in live-in relationship and facing threat from the private respondents and in this regard, they have also moved a representation dated 15.3.2021 (Annexure P-3) to Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taranrespondent No. 2. Notice of motion to respondents No. 1 to 4-State only. On the asking of the Court, Mr.

Ajay Pal Singh Gill, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State. Without entering upon an exercise to evaluate the evidentiary value of the documents placed on the file, I dispose of the petition with GURPREET SINGH 2021.03.

CRWP No. 2719 of 2021 -2directions to Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran-respondent No. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioners, dated 15.3.2021 (Annexure P-3) and grant them protection, if any threat to their life and liberty is perceived. It is made clear that this order shall not be taken to protect the petitioners from legal action for violation of law if any committed by them.
