Mr.Kirat Singh Sidhu,DAG Punjab with ASI Gurdev Singh Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail to accused petitioner Gurwinder Singh in case FIR No.144 dated 4.12.2014 under Sections 399/402 IPC,PS Phagwara City,Distt.Kapurthala. Petitioner was stated to be on bail and for his solitary absence on 5.1.2016 his bail bonds have been cancelled and NBWs issued. The reason for non-appearance is due to previous admission of the petitioner in a hospital and subsequent treatment. Vide order dated 11.5.2016 while issuing notice of motion it was directed that in the event of surrendering before the trial court within 7 days, petitioner be released on interim bail. At the time of hearing today,learned counsel states that in compliance of the said order, petitioner surrendered before the trial court on 16.5.2016 and was released on interim bail.
