The petitioners have approached this Court seeking grant of anticipatory bail in respect of a case registered against them vide FIR No.0107, dated 10.10.2020, Police Station Balianwali, District Bathinda, under Sections 420, 465, 468, 471, 120-B IPC. 2.
At the time of issuance of interim bail the following order was passed on 16.3.2022:
- 2 - "While petitioner No.1 - Usha Rani is mother of the main accused Balwinder Singh, petitioner No.2 - Ranjit Kaur is wife of main accused Balwinder Singh.
The allegations in nutshell are to the effect that the accused had deprived 22 persons for an amount of Rs.54 lakhs (approximately) on the pretext of getting them employed in some government jobs. The allegation against the petitioners is to the effect that they have also used to accompany the accused namely Balwinder Singh and Tahir Hussain.
Having regard to the nature of allegations and the fact that both the petitioners are ladies, it is directed that the petitioners, in the event of their arrest, be released on interim bail subject to their furnishing personal bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioners shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Arresting/Investigating Officer and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. List again on 20.07.2022."

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Kewal Singh, has informed that pursuant to interim directions, the petitioners have joined investigation and are not required for custodial interrogation. It has also been informed that the petitioners are not wanted in any other case.

Having regard to the aforestated position wherein the petitioners have joined investigation and are not required for any custodial interrogation, the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued by this Court vide order dated 16.3.2022 are hereby made
- 3 - absolute subject to the condition that the petitioners shall join investigation as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
