(ORAL) This case has come up for hearing after a gap of more than three years.

Prayer in this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of a direction to respondents No. 2 to 4 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner as he is apprehending serious and imminent threat to his life and liberty as well as his family members at the hands of private respondents in case FIR No. 392 dated 30.07.2014 under Sections 148, 149, 302, 201 and 435 IPC, Police Station Hodal, District Palwal.

Learned counsel for the State submits that the instant petition has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of, as such, because RISHU KATARIA 2022.10.19 13:59 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-16277-2018 -2the trial has been concluded and accused-private respondents No. 5 to 12, have been acquitted by the trial Court. The appeal against the judgment of acquittal filed by the petitioner is pending adjudication before this Court. He further states that at present, there is no threat perception to the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members Since, the trial has ended in acquittal of accused-private respondents No. 5 to 12 and appeal against the judgment of acquittal is pending adjudication before this Court, the instant petition is disposed of, as having been rendered infructuous.

The petitioner is at liberty to avail appropriate alternative remedy, in accordance with law.
