Mr.Kirat Singh Sidhu,Deputy Advocate General for State of Punjab with HC Kartar Singh Jaswant Singh,J.(Oral) The petitioner has been convicted vide judgment dated 30.8.2014 passed by learned JMIC Phagwara for an offence under Section 138 Negotiable Instruments Act,1881 and sentenced to undergo RI for 8 months with a fine of Rs.5000/- and in default to undergo further RI for 2 months.

Petitioner filed an appeal and during the pendency of appeal for his non-appearance on 17.3.2015 his bail was cancelled and bail bonds forfeited while issuing non-bailable warrants for arrest. This Court vide order dated 12.5.2015 permitted the petitioner to appear and seek interim bail.

Learned counsel on instructions from HC Kartar Singh states that petitioner has since appeared before the lower Appellate RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2015.09.30 13:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court, Chandigarh.
