(Oral) Petitioner, by way of instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeks entrustment of investigation of FIR No.20 dated 14.3.2014 under Sections 22 and 61 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Rawalpindi, Distt. Kapurthala to some independent agency.
Notice of motion was issued and pursuant thereto, reply by way of affidavit dated 12.11.2014 was filed. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from Nirmal Singh, ASI, Police Station Rawalpindi, Distt. Kapurthala, submits that after conclusion of the investigation, report under Section 173 Cr.P.C., was presented to the court and thereafter even the charges have been framed against the petitioner, rendering the present petition as infructuous.
