(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuing directions to the respondents to release the renewed/re-issued passport of the petitioner in FIR No.27 dated 17.4.2021 (Annexure P-1), under Sections 406, 498-A, 506 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Hathur, District Ludhiana (Rural) and to decide the application dated 17.2.2024 (Annexure P-7).
Learned counsel for the petitioner at this stage limits his prayer and submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if direction is issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana Rural, to consider and take a final decision on application/representation dated 17.2.2024 (Annexure P-7) made by the petitioner in a time bound manner.
