Earlier also, petitioner had approached this Court vide CRWP6573-2021, which was disposed of vide order dated 16.07.2021. Said order says as under:

"Case has been taken up for hearing through Video Conferencing.

This Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been moved by petitioner for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of petitioner at the hands of private respondents and to take action on representation dated 16.06.2021 (Annexure P-1). Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that petitioner has already made representation on 16.06.2021 to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, copy of which is available on the file as Annexure P/1, but still no action has been taken. Notice of motion to respondents No.1 to 3 only. At the asking of Court, Mr. Mehardeep Singh, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3. Complete copy of paper book has been supplied to him.

In view of above, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent No.2 - Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, to look into and decide representation dated 16.06.2021 (Annexure P/1) in accordance with law by passing speaking order and that too within six weeks positively from the date of receipt of copy of this order. As it is clear that direction to decide the representation has already been given by this Court, therefore, no further direction can be issued in the present petition.

Faced with the situation, counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the present petition, to avail any other remedy available to him under the law.
