Central Board Of Secondary Education And Another v. Vardan Surya Karan Dev Singh And Another
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT
CHANDIGARH RSA-487-2021 (O&M) Date of decision: 16.08.2021 CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION AND ANOTHER ..Appellants
Versus
VARDAN SURYA KARAN DEV SINGH AND ANOTHER ..Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KSHETARPAL
Present:
Mr. Beant S. Seemar, Advocate for the appellants. *** ANIL KSHETARPAL, J (Oral)
The appellants have filed this regular second appeal against concurrent finding of fact arrived at by the Courts below while decreeing the suit seeking declaration with a consequential relief of mandatory injunction. The plaintiff claims that since he has changed his name from 'Vardan Singh' to 'Vardan Surya Karan Dev Singh, therefore, in the matriculation certificate as well as in the senior secondary examination certificate issued by the CBSE, his name is required to be corrected. Learned counsel representing the appellants very fairly admits that in view of judgment passed in Jigya Yadav (minor) Vs. CBSE and others, decided on 03.06.2021 (Civil Appeal No.3905 of 2011), the appeal has been rendered infructuous and is disposed of as such. Ordered accordingly.
