SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6, parents and brother of petitioner No.1. Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 07.05.2015 (Annexure P-4) made by petitioner No.1. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Manpreet Kaur is 29.03.1992 as per copy of Matriculation Examination Certificate (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2Shamshad Ali is 03.10.1991 as per copy of Middle Examination Certificate (Annexure P-2). Petitioner No.1 after adopting Islam religion, performed marriage (Nikah) on 13.12.2014 vide Nikahnama (Annexure P-3). CRM-M-15556-2015 -2marriage of petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur to look into the representation dated 07.05.2015 (Annexure P-4) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of certified copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them. At this stage, Mr. Jashanjot Singh, Advocate has appeared on behalf of respondents No.4 to 6 and submits that respondents No.4 to 6 want to meet the petitioners and have a talk with them in an amicable atmosphere. He assures that their meeting will be cordial and no fuss will be created by the private respondents.

In order to facilitate the meeting of the petitioners with parents of petitioner No.1 the file be sent to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court.
