Prayer in this petition is for quashing of FIR No.34 dated 25.05.2012 under Sections 406/498A IPC, registered at Police Station 406/498A IPC, Police Station Women Cell, Jalandhar City. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the matter has been amicably resolved between the parties. It has been decided that the complainant/ respondent No.2 and her husband Jagandeep Singh @ Sherry (co-accused, not a petitioner) shall part ways. A petition under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 shall be filed by them. A total sum of `15,00,000/- shall be handed over to respondent No.2 as full and final settlement of all her claims - past, Omkar Singh 2018.02.12 17:51 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-18412 of 2013 -2present and future qua alimony, maintenance etc. Half of the said amount would be handed over to respondent No.2 at the time of recording statements of the parties at first motion and rest of the amount shall be handed over at the time of recording statements of the parties at second motion in the abovesaid petition. Respondent No.2 has agreed not to pursue the present proceedings. It is agreed between the parties that they shall withdraw all respective litigations which may have been initiated by them against each other. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 affirms the factual position as above.

In this view of the matter, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners may be permitted to withdraw this petition with liberty to file afresh on the basis of compromise between the parties.
