Through this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for quashing FIR No. 206 dated 18.10.2015 (Annexure P-2) registered under Sections 323, 324, 452, 148 and 149 IPC at Police Station City, Rupnagar and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 17.01.2017 (Annexure P-3) effected between the parties.

Vide order dated 22.02.2017 passed in CRM-M-5823-2017, filed by co-accused of the petitioners, the parties were directed to appear before the trial Court to get their statements recorded for compromise with a direction to the trial Court to furnish a report qua veracity of the compromise.

Consequently, parties appeared before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rupnagar and got recorded their statements qua compromise. Report from the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rupnagar, vide letter No. 369 dated 28.03.2017, duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Rishu Kataria 2017.10.09 16:06 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-15652-2017 -2Rupnagar, vide Endst. No. 3046 dated 28.03.2017 (in CRM-M-5823-2017), has been received. According to the report of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rupnagar, the compromise between the parties is voluntary with their own sweet will, without any inducement and coercion. 4.

In view of the totality of the facts and circumstances and considering the fact that the compromise will bring harmony in relations between the parties, the petition is accepted and the aforesaid FIR No. 206 dated 18.10.2015 (Annexure P-2) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, qua the petitioners, is quashed.
