The Ambala Central Cooperative Bank Employees Association v. State Of Haryana & ANR
103 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH CWP No. 5818-2000(O&M) Date of Decision: 03.04.2025 Ambala Central Cooperative Bank Employees Association (Regd.) ....Petitioner vs.
The State of Haryana and another ....Respondents
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAGMOHAN BANSAL
Present:
Mr. R.K.Malik, Senior Advocate with Mr. Sandeep Dhull, Advocate for the petitioner Mr. Raman Sharma, Addl. A.G., Haryana *** JAGMOHAN BANSAL, J. (ORAL) 1.
The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of orders dated 17.03.1999 and 05.11.1999 whereby over time allowance has been denied. 2.
The petitioner is an association of Central Cooperative Bank Employees. It is praying that its members should be paid allowance for over time because they have worked till 2003 beyond the normal working hours. 3.
A period of 25 years from the date of filing the instant petition has passed away and concededly members of the petitioner association were not asked to work over and above the normal working hours after 2003. This Court, at this belated stage, does not find it appropriate to ask the respondents to pay over time allowance to the members of petitioner for the claimed period.
