HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE H.S. MADAAN Present:- Ms. Surinder Kaur, Advocate for the petitioners. *** Admittedly petitioner no. 2 Akashdeep Singh is aged less than 21 years. Though petitioners claim that they got married but then requirements of Section 5 of the Hindu Marriage Act are not fulfilled. However, since they apprehend physical harm at the hands of respondents no. 4 to 8, Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar, District Amritsar is directed to ensure that no such physical harm is caused to the petitioner at the hands of respondents no. 4 to 8 or persons claiming under them. However, this direction will not validate the marriage said to have taken place between the petitioners and will have no effect on any civil or criminal action which could be initiated in the matter in accordance with law.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
