***** KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Present petitioners has been filed praying for issuance of direction to the official respondents to protect life and liberty at the hands of respondents No.7 to 10.

Reply by way of affidavit of Mr. Tejbir Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Sultankpur Lodhi, Distrcit Kapurthala filed on behalf of the official respondents is taken on record. The counsel for the State submitted that actually there is property dispute regarding land/property owned by Central Government and GAURAV SOROT 2022.04.29 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CRM-M-16612-2018 during inquiry no such threat perception was found to be existing from the side of the private respondent towards petitioners. Refuting the aforesaid contentions, the counsel for the petitioners submitted that both the petitioners are senior citizen and are still apprehending threats.

In view of the above, present petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent No.5 to look into the matter afresh and in case any threat perception is found, then to act in accordance with law and to provide necessary protection to the petitioners, if the situation so warrants.
