(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the marriage of petitioner was solemnized with respondent No.5 on 10.2.2019 which was a simple marriage. It has been submitted that the petitioner is the only son of his widowed mother. However, respondent No.5 had been pressurizing the petitioner to live separately from his mother which led to a matrimonial discord and respondent No.5 left her matrimonial home on 28.12.2020 and had been issuing threats to the petitioner to involve him in some criminal MOHAN SINGH 2021.03.19 17:23 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

- 2 - CRWP-2771-2021 (O&M) case. The petitioner has thus prayed for issuance of direction to respondent No.1 to 3 to protect his life and liberty at the hands of respondent No.4 to 7 i.e. his wife and other members of her family and also to take action against them in accordance with law.

Keeping in view the aforesaid submissions and without commenting anything as regards the veracity for the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Khanna, District Ludhiana, to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 6.3.2021 (Annexure P-1) examined in accordance with law so that the same is disposed of at the earliest. A copy of this order along with copy of representation Annexure P-1 be sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, Khanna, District Ludhiana (respondent No.2) so as to enable him to do the needful at the earliest.
