In the present protection petition on 03.03.2023, following order was passed:

"Present:

Mr. Prateek Sodhi, Advocate for the petitioner. *** Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 to 3, to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioner-Tania Kumari, aged 19 years, at the hands of her own parents and other family members i.e. respondents No. 4 to 11.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the family members of the petitioner want her to forcibly marry against her choice and even threatened her to kill. Said part of allegations have been detailed in paragraphs No. 4 and 5 of the petition. Same are reproduced here-in below:

"4. That on February 20, 2023, the private Respondents, having connived inter se, started pressurizing and attempted to enforce their will upon the Petitioner. Due to the said acts of the private Respondents, the Petitioner was constrained to leave her home. The Petitioner had left the home of her own free will. However, since the aforesaid, the private Respondents have been chasing the Petitioner.

That on February 23, 2023, regardless of the fact that private Respondents are family members of the Petitioner, the private Respondents even threatened to kill the Petitioner and have openly threatened that KAVITA NAIN 2023.05.30 17:55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document order/judgment

Further, since the time the Petitioner has left her home, the private Respondents have been openly hurling threats at the petitioner and have been even issuing threats through call and message."

Notice of motion for 15.03.2023.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Anmol Singh Sandhu, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents No. 1 to 3. Copy of the complete paper book be supplied to him during the course of the day.

Respondents No. 4 to 7 are directed to be present before this Court on the next date of hearing i.e. 15.03.2023. " 2.

Thereafter, vide order dated 19.04.2023, petitioner and respondents were referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court for finding out the amicable solution.

Accordingly, parties appeared before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and dispute amongst them is ultimately settled peacefully according to the report dated 26.04.2023 of learned Mediator. Statement/agreement is also made a part with it, which is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place and page mark the same.

Considering the aforementioned factual backdrop, counsel for the petitioner seeks withdrawal of the present petition. 4.

Disposed of, having been withdrawn.
