The present petition has been filed Article 226 of the Constitution of India with a prayer of issuance of a writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents No. 1 & 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he wishes to withdraw his Power of Attorney.

More so, learned State counsel has submitted that the petitioner has already been arrested and therefore, the present petition does not survive.

Request of the counsel for the petitioner is allowed. 5.
In light of the averment made by learned State counsel that the petitioner has been arrested, coupled with the fact that the counsel for the petitioner has withdrawn his power of attorney, the present petition stands dismissed at this stage.
