*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) On earlier occasion when the matter was listed on 03.03.2020 none had caused appearance on behalf of the petitioner. Even today none appears on behalf of the petitioner.

Petition was filed in the year 1996 for directing the respondents to grant selection grade to the petitioner from the date from which selection grade had been granted to Veterinary Surgeons, who were junior to him, with all consequential benefits.

Petition was admitted to be taken up in regular hearing vide order dated 26.02.1997.

When called out for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 25 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioner seems to have lost interest in pursuing the same.

Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application in case, any cause of action still survives.
