This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to outbreak of the pandemic, COVID-19. The petitioner seeks issuance of a direction to the respondents to release compensation on account of death of her husband, alleged to have been caused due to negligence of the respondents in not taking necessary steps to prevent stray cattle from creating traffic hazards. It is submitted that the petitioner's husband died on account of the accident due to stray cattle within the municipal limits of Jakhal, District Fatehabad. Legal notice dated 06.03.2021 (Annexure P4), it is submitted, has been served upon the respondents, but to no avail.
