Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.0008 dated 23.02.2017 under Sections 326, 324, 323, 506, 34 IPC, registered at Police Station Dera Baba Nanak, District Gurdaspur.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that the petitioner is named in the FIR. He was stated to be armed with datar. Injury on the head of the complainant is attributed to him, which has been declared as grievous. The petitioner is the main accused, who caused the grievous injury. Datar is yet to be recovered from him.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present Vineet Gulati 2017.05.09 16:32 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh case, I find that the petitioner is required for custodial interrogation and

CRM No.M-15929 of 2017 -2investigation. No ground is made out to grant the benefit of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
