*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition was filed in the year 1997, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to promote the petitioners as Assistant Tyreman and Tyreman from the dates respondents No.3 and 4 were promoted.

Petition was admitted on 19.01.1999.

On a Court query, whether due to long interregnum caused between listing of the case and at the time of admitting the case vide order dated 19.01.1999 petitioners are still pressing for the relief at this belated stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he has lost contact with the petitioners.

It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 24 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioners seem to have lost interest in pursuing the same.

Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file an appropriate application in case, any cause of action still survives.
