/3+$+4&5" /&2% Petition was filed in the year 1997, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing order dated 24.05.1995 (Annexure P-2) passed by the General Manager, Haryana Roadways, Sirsa Depot - respondent No.2, whereby allegedly the juniors to the petitioners were promoted as Assistant Fitter. 2.
Petition was admitted on 19.01.1999.

None appears on behalf of the petitioners. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for around 25 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioners seem to have lost interest in pursuing the same.

In any case, it appears that even on merits, claim of the petitioners is not admissible in view of the fact that vacancies against which the petitioners at the relevant time were claiming their stake by ASHISH 2022.04.25 14:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP.6509 of 1997 (O&M) -2way of promotion, were created w.e.f. March, 1995 i.e. after coming into force of the Haryana Transport Department Group (C) Haryana Roadways, Services Rules, 1995, whereby the minimum qualification for the post of Assistant Fitter had been fixed as 8th Class w.e.f. 06.01.1995. As against the said statutory requirement, both the petitioners being 7th Class passed and that too without having any technical qualification of I.T.I, were held as ineligible. 5.
Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file an appropriate application in case, any cause of action still survives.
