Rajan Gupta, J (Oral) This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking quashing of FIR No.19 dated 6.4.2012 under Sections 307,336,427,148,149 IPC and 25/267 Arms Act registered at Police Station, Kathu Nangal, District Amritsar (Rural) on the basis of compromise.

Pursuant to order dated 17.3.2015, learned State counsel seeks to place on record affidavit of Jasdeep Singh, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural). Prayer is accepted. Affidavit is taken on record. She submits that as the police official, who had attended the court on the last date of hearing, was not able to assist. He has been placed under suspension and departmental proceedings have been initiated. Explanation given in the affidavit is accepted. No further orders need be passed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has addressed the court. However, after arguing at some length, he submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this petition in view of the fact that some of the petitioners have been declared proclaimed offenders.

In view of above, this petition is dismissed as withdrawn at this stage.
