Mr.Kirat Singh Sidhu,DAG Punjab assisted by ASI Tarlochan Singh Jaswant Singh,J(Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail on behalf of accusedpetitioner Anil Kumar in case FIR No.87 dated 30.4.2014 under Sections 21,22,29,61,85,15 of the NDPS Act and Section 15 of the Indian Medical Council Act,PS City Rupnagar,Distt.Rupnagar.

Petitioner accused is alleged to be tenant of the premises from where business of selling and supply of intoxicating drugs and powder was being carried out. Upon a raid half kilogram of intoxicating powder plus intoxicating drugs/capsules were recovered from the premises in the occupation of co-accused Kulvinder Singh and Sawan Kumar. Vide order dated 26.5.2016 petitioner was directed to join investigation and interim bail was granted to him. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that petitioner is a resident of Assandh,District Karnal in Haryana who was neither found found present at the spot at Rupnagar nor has anything to do with the RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2016.05.31 18:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M 16921/2016 premises from where the co-accused has been arrested and recoveries effected two years back. It is further submitted that petitioner has joined investigation, fully cooperated and is not involved in any other case. Learned State counsel on instructions states that petitioner has joined investigation and his custodial interrogation is no longer required. In view of the above, interim bail granted vide order dated 26.5.2016 is made absolute.
