The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to respondents to appoint him as Helper Grade-II.

The petitioner joined respondent-NFL as apprentice. He underwent 03 years training. The claim of the petitioner was that he should be appointed as regular employee on completion of 03 years apprenticeship. 3.

Mr. Manuj Chadha, counsel for the respondents submits that as per Section 18 read with 22 of Apprenticeship Act, 1961, an apprentice does not have right to claim permanent employment.
