As per the allegations in the FIR registered on the statement of Chanchal Singh, the occurrence took place on 10.01.2015 at about 6.00 p.m. when petitioner Harpreet Singh armed with Gandasi, Bikramjit Singh armed with Dattar, accompanied by Palwinder Singh caused injuries on the person of Harpinder Singh. The injuries caused by petitioner on the leg of Harpinder Singh was declared as grievous in nature.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it is a case of cross-version. Palwinder Singh and Bikramjit Singh have also received SACHIN MEHTA 2015.07.06 16:12 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM-M-16017-2015 -2injuries but the police has not recorded any cross-case so far. In the FIR, there is direct attribution of injury to the petitioner, which was declared grievous in nature. For proper investigation, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required. Even otherwise, in the facts and circumstances of the case, no reason is made out for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner. This petition has no merits. Dismissed.
