(Oral) The allegations against petitioner Abid in this regular bail application are that he along with his co-accused on 18.12.2014 were accosted by the police party while they were ferrying cows and it is alleged that co-accused and petitioner had fired at the police. The contention of counsel for the petitioner Mr. Rajesh Batheja, Advocate that no recovery has been effected from the petitioner could not be controverted on behalf of the learned State counsel together with the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 18.12.2014 and that the trial is not likely to conclude in the near future and in view of the principle of parity as his co-accused has already been released on bail, this Court is of the DALBIR SINGH TIWANA 2015.05.25 15:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court, Chandigarh

Criminal Misc. No. M-16031 of 2015 -2opinion that further detention of the petitioner in the present case is not warranted. Accordingly, he is ordered to be released on regular bail to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Panipat. The present petition stands disposed off accordingly.
