Petitioners in person with Mr. Deepak K. Bartia, Advocate for Mr. Gautam Diwan, Advocate SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 and 5, parents of petitioner No.1.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 07.01.2017 (Annexure P-5) made by petitioner No.1. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Prinsi Singh is 15.02.1993 as per copy of Voter Identity Card (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2-Harikesh is 05.12.1992 as per copy of PAN Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 18.10.2016 as per marriage certificate (Annexure P-3). Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-4.

In view of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage Sachin Mehta 2017.01.10 17:15 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH

CRM-M-161-2017 -2of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Superintendent of Police, Panchkula to look into the representation dated 07.01.2017 (Annexure P-5) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
