The petitioner has been in custody since 3.11.2014 in a case registered at the instance of his wife alleging that after returning from Dubai, he had been harassing the complainant and forced her to transfer a house, standing in her name. There are serious allegations against the petitioner that under the influence of drugs, he had been threatening the complainant that he would get divorce and marry another lady. The allegations of bigamy have also been levelled against the petitioner. Without expression of any opinion on merits of the case, it is sufficient to observe that challan has been presented; trial is likely to take a long time, he can be granted the concession of bail. The petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/ surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial court, subject to the condition that he will surrender his passport with the trial court and will not leave India without the permission of the court. He will also not tamper with evidence or brow beat the witnesses, in any manner.
