M.M.S. BEDI, J. (ORAL) This is a petition for quashing of FIR No.288 dated 5.11.2005, under Sections 307, 452, 323, 427, 148 & 149 IPC and Section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station, Civil Line, Batala, Tehsil Batala, District Sangrur, as well as criminal complaint No.220 dated 9.12.2005, under Sections 307, 452 and 427 IPC and Section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, on the basis of compromise. Said FIR was registered at the instance of Guriqbal Singh respondent No.2 whereas the criminal complaint is filed by Jaswinder Singh respondent No.3.
The parties were directed to appear before the trial Court and get their statements recorded regarding the matter having been compromised. After recording the statements of the parties, a
CRM-M-16230-2015 (O&M) report has been received to the effect that the matter has been compromised.
In view of above circumstances, following the judgment of Full Bench of this Court in case Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab, 2007(3) RCR (Crl.), 1052, this petition is allowed. The above said FIR as well as the criminal complaint and all the subsequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed on the basis of compromise.
