(ORAL) The petitioner through the instant petition is seeking direction to official respondents to arrest respondent No. 6 who has been declared proclaimed offender about 10 years back and he is roaming freely in the area.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that FIR No. 207 dated 29.12.2011, under Sections 406 and 498-A IPC was registered at Police Station, Phillaur, District Jalandhar against respondent No. 6, who was declared proclaimed offender vide order dated 28.05.2013 (Annexure P-2) still he is roaming freely in the village.

CRM-M-11600 of 2023 -2Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Harjeet Singh, submits that there are three accused in the FIR and two out of them stand acquitted vide order dated 13.12.2017 passed by trial court. He further submits that petitioner may be directed to provide whereabouts of respondent No. 6 and thereafter the investigating officer would take necessary action.

Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to supply whereabouts of respondent No.6.

In view of statements of both sides, the petitioner is directed to supply whereabouts of respondent No. 6 to the investigating officer. This Court is sanguine of the fact that investigating officer would take appropriate steps to comply with order dated 28.05.2013 (Annexure P-2) passed by SDJM, Phillaur. Disposed of.
